Low Dose Anxiolytic Can Help Lower Social Fears

Low Dose Anxiolytic Can Help Lower Social Fears

Do you consider yourself to be an introvert? Do you find solace in reading a book in your favorite corner of the house instead of socializing with people in a party? Would you rather spend your entire weekend tinkering stuff in your bedroom than go fishing with your friends? Well, you may be experiencing social anxiety.

Social anxiety is a phenomenon wherein you are self-conscious when you are with other people because you fear that you’re being looked down or you may be judged negatively by what you do or say. You are afraid of being humiliated and embarrassed; thus, you find comfort in avoiding interactions with other people.

The root cause of your anxiety could be in two forms: one, known as state anxiety, where anxiety happens as a result of a particular situation. And the other one is known as trait anxiety, which basically refers to having such a condition as an innate part of your being.

How Anxiolytics Can Help You Overcome Social Fears

The good news is that through the use of low dose anxiolytics available at Arkell Walk-In Clinic & Arkell Pharmacy, those who are highly anxious can feel a sense of relief. It can somehow combat their fears of being rejected or judged in the social arena. An example of a trusted anxiolytic is diazepam, which revealed a result of enhancing how the mitochondria behaves, which then affects neurons found in the brain to suppress feelings of social awkwardness. The effects of diazepam are targeting the motivation and rewards system of the brain.

The low dose diazepam, which is available at Walk in Clinic in Guelph, Ontario, is able to augment the release of dopamine, which results in a biochemical cascade wherein the feelings of social subordination is put to a minimum. The study also revealed a breakthrough in targeting mitochondrial function of the cell, which promises a new pathway of treatment for any anxiety disorder.
